The CEREC® Process

Placing a CEREC® inlay, onlay, or crown takes just one visit to our offices in Manhattan and White Plains & Westchester County.  The dentist prepares the tooth, removing any decay or unhealthy tooth structure if necessary.  Next, the dentist will take a digital optical impression (no messy molds are used) of the teeth and mouth.  The dentist enters this information into the CEREC® machine, which custom-fabricates your restoration.  The process takes about an hour, during which time you can sit back, watch a movie, listen to music, or just relax.  When the restoration is ready, the dentist places it on the tooth and assures a flawless fit with your surrounding teeth and bite.  You can then leave our office with your completed tooth restoration.
