Tooth-Colored Fillings

If you have a cavity that needs to be filled, consider tooth-colored fillings, available at our offices in Manhattan and White Plains & Westchester County.  Tooth-colored fillings are made from ceramic material instead of silver or amalgam materials.  The ceramic material can be customized to match the color of your natural teeth so that the filling will be virtually unnoticeable.

The dentist begins by carefully removing the tooth decay. Next, the dentist fills the tooth with the ceramic material, which is colored and shaped to blend with the tooth. The dentist then completes the placement by curing the filling with a special light.

Laser Dentistry / Gum Recontouring

Cosmetic gum recontouring can improve the appearance of a “gummy” smile by eliminating excess gum tissue.  This exposes more of the tooth, creating a whiter, brighter appearance. IllustraDENT  performs gum recontouring using laser dentistry at our offices in Manhattan and White Plains & Westchester County.

To begin the laser gum recontouring treatment, the dentist uses the dental laser to vaporize the excess gum tissue, carefully contouring the gums.  This takes just a few minutes and causes little to no discomfort or bleeding.  After the gums have been contoured, the treatment is complete, and patients can return to their normal activities.

Bonding
